The Nashville and Davidson County utility that provides drinking water, sewer service and information about connections, backflow and water use.
Metro Water Services provides drinking water and sewer service for Nashville and Davidson County. Its website covers billing, service connections, backflow rules and conservation tips. Homeowners adding a bathroom, such as in a basement, may need to understand sewer connections, tap locations and what information the utility needs.
For bathroom work, the site is a helpful starting point for questions about shutoffs, water pressure and sewer lines. Larger projects, like a new bathroom far from the main drain, sometimes need extra review. Other cities in Middle Tennessee have their own utilities, and we check the one that serves your address.
