Questions

Bathroom remodeling questions, answered plainly.

About showers, tubs, tile, permits, plumbing, repairs, hidden damage and scheduling.

Getting started

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The Free Estimate comes with no obligation. You see the scope, the materials and the schedule in writing before anything is ordered or started.

What areas do you serve?

Nashville and nearby communities across Middle Tennessee, including Franklin, Brentwood, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet, Smyrna and more. See the service areas page for the full list.

What do you do?

Full bathroom remodels, showers, tubs, walk-in tubs, accessible bathrooms, vanities, tile and floors, plumbing and electrical updates, repairs and care.

Can I hire you for a small update?

Yes. Many calls are for a new vanity, a shower door or a tub conversion, and we welcome them as much as a full remodel.

Showers and tubs

Can you turn my tub into a shower?

Yes. A tub-to-shower conversion is one of our most common projects, with a new base, walls, valve and door or curtain. We explain options for size, safety and style.

What is a walk-in tub?

A walk-in tub has a watertight door so you step in instead of over a high wall. We explain door styles, seats, water depth and how long filling and draining take.

Is a curbless shower hard to build?

It needs a sloped floor and careful waterproofing, which is why we plan it from the floor framing up.

Tile and materials

Which tile is best for a bathroom?

Porcelain is popular for floors and showers because it absorbs very little water. We compare porcelain, ceramic and stone for your use.

Can you match my existing finishes?

Often yes. We bring samples and help you choose fixtures, tile and paint that work together.

Do you handle plumbing and electrical?

We coordinate qualified plumbers and electricians and handle the building work around them.

Permits and hidden issues

Do I need a permit?

Often yes when plumbing, electrical or walls change. Rules depend on the work and the location, so we help you check with Metro Codes or your city.

What if you find damage behind the walls?

Old leaks, rot and outdated pipes are common in older homes. We explain what we find, show photos and write down any change before work continues.

Can you help with plans?

Yes. We prepare simple drawings and layouts for approval and for permit review.

Scheduling and prep

How long does a remodel take?

A tub conversion can take several days, and a full bathroom often takes a few weeks. Permits, special orders and hidden repairs affect the schedule, and we give you written dates.

Will I be without a bathroom?

During demolition and rough-in, yes, for part of the project. We plan the schedule and tell you what to arrange.

How early should I book?

As early as you can. Spring and fall are busy, and special-order tile, glass and fixtures can add weeks.
